Caesar Salad with Asparagus

Description: The scent of Chicken Caesar with Asparagus spreads throughout your home and promises a delicious meal in a short time. Easy to make on a weekday but delicious as a Sunday treat. Although Caesar salad originated with Italian-American immigrants in the United States, our version, which includes a generous serving of chicken, proves that this delicious dish knows no national boundaries. Adding this spicy, creamy Caesar recipe will take the flavor of your chicken to the next level, and the best part is, it only requires one pan, so there’s less cleanup!

Serving: 4 portions

Ingredients:

  • Four chicken fillets (boneless and skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Caesar dressing
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Chopped asparagus
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Fresh lemon juice

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. After a few minutes on each side, add the chicken and fry until golden brown.
  3. When the chicken is cooked, remove the pan from the heat and coat thoroughly with the Caesar dressing. Then make sure both the chicken and the Parmesan cheese are coated.
  4. Place the chicken in the pan and surround it with chopped asparagus. You can sprinkle garlic powder and a little more cheese over the asparagus.
  5. After the chicken is cooked and the asparagus is soft, place the pan in the oven and bake for 20 minutes.
  6. To finish, add fresh lemon juice to the chicken and asparagus.

Tips and Variations:

  • If your child doesn’t like green vegetables, try wrapping them in bacon before cooking. Bacon makes everything better, right?
  • If you watch what you eat, feel free to use a lighter version of Caesar’s standard dressing or make your own dressing at home.
  • Like asparagus? NO. Try roasted broccoli or green beans instead.
  • Do you want to be stronger? For a twist reminiscent of the classic Caesar salad, toss the croutons into the skillet during the last minute of cooking.
  • To make this dish even more delicious, add a few cherry tomatoes to the pan before cooking. When roasted, its flavor naturally complements the aroma.
