Salted Watermelon with Optional Flavors

This simple yet refreshing dish highlights the natural sweetness of watermelon enhanced by a touch of salt. For added flair, you can include a drizzle of honey, a pinch of chili powder, or a sprinkle of citrus zest.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small watermelon, chilled and cut into wedges or cubes
  • 1-2 tsp coarse sea salt, flaky salt, or kosher salt
  • Optional: honey, chili powder, citrus zest for added flavors

Instructions:

Arrange the cut watermelon on a platter or in a bowl.

Lightly sprinkle the salt over the top of the watermelon pieces, using about 1 tsp salt per 1 lb of watermelon.
