The apple pie Wontons in the fryer are my new favorite dessert! Only a handful of ingredients make this apple caramel candy.
1 package of Wonton wrappers
1 15-ounce can of apple pie
1/2 cup of sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Powdered sugar – to sprinkle on top
Stir the apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
Place the wonton wrappers on a flat surface near the fryer.
Place 1 1/2 teaspoons of the filling in the center of the Wonton Wrap.
Place 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce over the filling.
Dip one teaspoon into the caramel sauce and, using the back of the spoon, pass it around the edges of the Wonton Wrap.
Pull all 4 edges of the wrap in a small bundle and pinch to secure the wonton.
Place in the fryer and when full, spray with the cooking spray, covering the wonton.
Close the fryer and adjust the time for 7 minutes, and the temperature to 350 degrees.
When the wonton’s are done cooking, remove them from the air fryer basket and place them on a plate.
Continue until you have finished all the necessary wonton’s.
Sprinkle the wonton’s with caramel sauce and sprinkle generously with powdered sugar before serving.
