1 pound shrimp (about 20 pieces), peeled and deveined, with the tail still on.
7 pieces of thick-cut bacon, cut into thirds
4 tablespoons of butter, melted
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 tablespoon of chili powder
Preheat the oven to 400°. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil. Wrap each shrimp with a piece of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Place the shrimp on the prepared tray.
In a small bowl, mix the butter, maple syrup and chili powder.
Brush the shrimp with about half of the maple butter.
Bake for 15 minutes or until the bacon is crisp and the shrimp are cooked.
Brush with remaining maple butter and grill for 3 minutes.
