Crockpot Apple Pork Loin Recipe

Ingredients

1 pork loin 3 ½ to 4 pounds
2 grandmother’s blacksmith apples sliced
1 white onion, sliced
½ cup 1 stick of butter, cut into pieces
¼ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon dried thyme
¼ cup of honey

Instructions

Prepare the coating of the slow stove with non-stick cooking spray.
Cut slices approximately 1 inch deep in a row along the top of the pork loin.
Place one apple slice in each hole.
Place the pork loin in the slow stove and place the remaining apples and onions around the pork loin.
Mix the dry seasonings and sprinkle over the pork loin.
Cover the pork loin and apples with butter pats.
Pour the honey over the pork loin.
Cover the slow cooker and cook at high heat for 4 hours or at low heat for 6 hours.
Before cutting the loin, remove the pork from the slow cooker and cover it with aluminum foil. Let it rest for 5 minutes.

Notes

Tip: An oval slow cooker is best for this recipe, as it will not fit well in a round slow cooker.
