Homemade mushroom sauce is creamy and full of flavor. Serve it over pork chops or baked chicken.
Ingredients
▢¾ pound sliced mushrooms.
▢¼ cup finely chopped onion.
▢3 tablespoons butter
▢1 clove garlic, minced
▢2 tablespoons optional red wine
▢3 tablespoons flour
▢Salt and pepper to taste
▢3 cups of beef broth
Instructions
Cook onions and mushrooms in butter until tender. Add garlic and cook until fragrant. Add wine and cook until it evaporates.
Stir in flour and salt and pepper to taste. Cook 1 minute.
Add broth, a little at a time, stirring after each addition until sauce reaches desired thickness.
Simmer 2 minutes. Season and serve.
