FRIED GREEN BEANS {BEER BATTERED}

Beer fried green beans are a great appetizer or side dish when you want something crunchy and a little spicy. Along with a homemade sriracha cream sauce, these fried green beans will be your new favorite recipe.

INGREDIENTS

Creamy Sriracha sauce
1 cup of mayonnaise
2 tablespoons of Sriracha
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt

Beer fried green beans
1 1/4 pound fresh green beans, washed and cut
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups of beer
vegetable oil for frying

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium bowl, beat the ingredients for the sriracha sauce. Cover and refrigerate while you follow the steps below.
Mix the green beans with half a cup of flour until well coated.
In a bowl or pie plate, mix the remaining 2 cups of flour with the cumin, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, pepper and salt. Slowly add the beer, stirring well to create a thick dough.
Heat 1 to 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large pot or in a Dutch oven at 375F. Dip the green beans into the beer batter, and then carefully place them in the hot oil (this may be better done with heat-proof tongs). Fry the green beans in small batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Very carefully remove them from the hot oil and drain them on paper towels.
Serve the green beans hot with the sriracha sauce.
