Jalapeño Popper Pigs in a Blanket

This fun and delicious appetizer combines the classic flavors of jalapeño poppers with the beloved pigs in a blanket. Perfect for parties or game day, these bites are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients:

  • 14 ounces Lil’ Smokies
  • 2 cans Pillsbury Crescent Rounds, halved
  • 8 jalapeños, deseeded and cut into fourths
  • 4 ounces softened cream cheese
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar, shredded
  • 4 slices cooked and crumbled bacon
  • ½ teaspoon Slap Ya Mama seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Cut each Pillsbury Crescent Round in half to create 16 strips of dough per can. Set aside.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until light and fluffy. Add the shredded cheddar, crumbled bacon, Slap Ya Mama seasoning, garlic salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Cut each jalapeño in half vertically, then cut each half horizontally, resulting in 4 pieces per jalapeño.

Fill each jalapeño piece with the cream cheese mixture. Place a Lil’ Smokie on top of the cream cheese mixture in each jalapeño. Wrap each filled jalapeño and Lil’ Smokie with a strip of dough.

Arrange the wrapped Lil’ Smokies on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
