INGREDIENTS
A 1 lb. flank steak.
Kosher salt
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons of avocado oil
1/2 c. low-sodium soy sauce
4 cloves of garlic, grated
A 2-inch piece of ginger, grated
2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar
4 c. broccoli florets
2 tablespoons of toasted sesame oil
DIRECTIONS
Freeze the steak for 15 minutes, then cut it very thinly against the grain and season with salt and pepper.
In a large non-stick frying pan over high heat, heat the oil. Heat the steak until golden brown, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
Reduce heat to medium and add soy sauce, garlic, ginger and apple vinegar. Add the broccoli and let it simmer until the broccoli is cooked and the sauce is reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Return the meat to the pan, along with the juices, and heat until well cooked, about 1 minute.
Drizzle with sesame oil before serving.
