LEMON POUND CAKE COOKIES

I just made these cookies that taste so good and look so sweet. I will be serving them at my garage sale this weekend.

INGREDIENTS :

¾ cup white sugar
⅔ cup sweet salty cream butter, softened
2 cups of all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons of baking powder
(2) large eggs
2 teaspoons of lemon extract

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
Cream sugar and butter in a bowl using an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add and beat the flour and baking powder in a separate bowl, then gradually beat in the creamy butter mixture until blended. Beat the eggs, one by one, into the butter-flour mixture until well mixed, then add the lemon extract. Then place small spoonfuls of dough on a baking sheet.
Bake until the cookies come out to the touch for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven.

Note:

To add more flavor, you can add a lemon glaze if you like, or even add lemon peel to make the lemon stand out.
