MELTED SNOWMAN COOKIES

These melted snowman cookies are such a nice idea for Christmas and so EASY to make! A fun addition to your Christmas cookie tray and kids can even decorate them themselves!

INGREDIENTS

1 16.5 ounce roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
1 egg yolk
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
12 marshmallows
1 bag of each Betty Crockerâ„¢ Cookie Icing in white, red and black
2 black and orange edible markers

INSTRUCTIONS

Place 1 (16.5 ounce) Pillsburyâ„¢ sugar cookie dough, 1 egg yolk and 1/2 cup all purpose flour in a large bowl. Beat with electric mixer on medium speed until smooth.
Place 2 tablespoon (12) size balls of cookie dough on cookie sheets covered with silicone baking mats or parchment paper for cooking. Refrigerate dough balls for 15 minutes. Heat oven to 350°F.
Bake cookies cold for 12-14 minutes or until lightly browned.
Let them cool completely before decorating.
Draw eyes and mouth on the marshmallows using the black edible marker. Then draw the nose with the orange edible marker. Set aside.
On the cooled cookies, draw a “snow” using the white cookie icing. TIP: Draw the outline of the puddle, then go back and fill in the shape.
While the frosting is still wet, immediately place a marshmallow next to the cookie
Then make the arms and buttons with the black cookie icing and the scarf with the red cookie icing.
