Peppermint Oreo Balls

Are you looking for a recipe that is simple and quick to make? One that tastes like it just came out of a bakery? These Oreo Mint Balls are a great option to share with friends and family. And, if you need a gift or an easy dessert, it’s perfect for the hectic holidays if you couldn’t get a dish done in time.

INGREDIENTS

14 oz. pack of Oreos 36 regular Oreos
8 ounces of softened cream cheese
1 teaspoon of mint extract
¼ teaspoon salt
10 ounces of chocolate wafers that melt
Crushed mint pieces

INSTRUCTIONS

Add the Oreos to a food processor and pulse until a fine crumb forms.
Add cream cheese, mint extract, salt and pulse until combined. The mixture will be thick and sticky.
Use a medium sized cookie spoon (2 tablespoons) to scoop out the mixture and form balls. Place the balls on a parchment lined cookie sheet and then cool for 15 to 30 minutes.
Melt the melting wafers in a small bowl at 30 second intervals, stirring between each one until they are completely melted.
Use a spoon and fork to dip and cover the balls, then transfer them back to the parchment paper to settle completely.
Cover them with pieces of crushed mint before the chocolate hardens.
