REINDEER RICE KRISPIE TREATS

Reindeer rice cakes are nice, festive and easy to make… a fun vacation project for the kids and a delicious gift to share with neighbors and friends!

INGREDIENTS

▢4 Tablespoons of half a bar of butter, plus an extra for greasing the pan
▢10 ounces of mini marshmallows
▢6 cups of crispy rice cereal
▢2 ounces of white chocolate for baking, caramel coating, or melting, DIVIDED
▢16 candy eyes
▢16 chocolate covered pretzels
▢7 Brown M&Ms
▢1 Red M&M
▢Christmas sprinkles

INSTRUCTIONS

Generously grease an 8-inch cake pan; set it aside.
In a large pot over medium heat, melt the butter. Add marshmallows, stir to coat with butter and allow to melt completely, stirring frequently. Remove the pan from the heat and gently stir the cereal until it is completely combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press until an even layer is obtained. Allow to cool completely. Run a knife or thin spatula around the edge of the pan, place a plate or cutting board on top and invert. Carefully lift the pan.
Melt half of the white chocolate according to the instructions on the package. Spread a small amount of melted white chocolate on the back of the candy eyes and stick them on top of one of the triangular Rice Krispie Treats. Do the same with the M&M nose and pretzel horns. Repeat for each reindeer.
Melt the rest of the white chocolate. Finish each reindeer by sprinkling some melted white chocolate between the antlers, covering it with sprinkles and pressing it gently to make it stick. Allow the white chocolate to harden before serving the treats or storing them in an airtight container.
