RITZ CRACKER CANDY BARS

Graham cracker crumbs, sugar, milk and butter melt on the stove to create the delicious, chewy, sticky filling that binds it all together. It is spread on layers of Ritz crackers and then covered with melted chocolate and peanut butter.

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 cup of white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
3/4 cup butter, cubed
1/3 cup of milk
2 Ritz cookie sleeves, about 75 cookies
1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 1/4 cups of peanut butter

INSTRUCTIONS

In a large pan, combine the cookie crumbs, sugars, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Cook and stir for about 5 more minutes.
Grease a 9×13 saucepan and place a single layer of Ritz crackers on the bottom. Cover with half of the graham cracker crumb mixture. Repeat the layers once and then cover with the rest of the Ritz crackers.
In a microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips and peanut butter. Microwave on low, stopping to stir occasionally. Do not overcook or the chocolate will burn. Pour over cookies and refrigerate until firm. Cut into bars and enjoy!
