Stuffed Bacon and Cheese Biscuits

Cheese crackers with bacon cream are an unforgettable breakfast or lunch. Your family and guests will be impressed when you serve these tender biscuits filled with cheese and bacon. They also make great snacks, such as the crescent rolls filled with crab and cheese.

Because the cream cheese cookies are so satisfying and delicious, the rest of the meal can be super simple. Serve them along with coffee, tea and juice for an easy continental breakfast. Or, serve them with scrambled eggs and a fresh fruit salad for a full meal if you want to be more elaborate.


2 cans of crescent rolls (you can also use cookies)
Cheese (any kind you want)
A 12- or 16-ounce package of bacon, cooked
flour for sprinkling (optional)


Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Lightly moisten the work surface.
Unroll a half-moon can (or half a cookie jar) onto the work surface. Using your hands or a roller, press the seams together and press and stretch a little to form a nice rectangle.

Add a layer of cheese
Add a layer of bacon.

Unwind the remaining can of crescent rolls at the top and press all appearances together at the top and around.
Using a pizza cutter or knife (I prefer a pizza cutter myself) slice into squares.
Place them on a baking sheet so that the squares touch.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the tops of the crescent rolls are lightly browned. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for 3-5 minutes.
