- Ambrosia Salad is a beloved, easy-to-make dessert that’s perfect for gatherings and loved by both kids and adults. It’s homemade, cost-effective, and a family favorite, especially of the author’s Aunt Judie.
- This classic dessert salad never goes out of style due to its amazing taste, ease of preparation, and universal appeal at parties, potlucks, and barbecues.
- The ingredients of Ambrosia Salad include mandarin oranges, crushed pineapple, coconut, maraschino cherries, and marshmallows, with optional nuts which can be toasted for extra flavor.
- The author prefers using white miniature marshmallows but also suggests multi-colored, fruit-flavored marshmallows for added fun and color.
- The recipe includes a secret ingredient, sour cream (or Greek yogurt), to add a creamy tang and balance the natural sweetness of the fruits, preventing the salad from being overly sweet.
