THE BEST DIP IN THE WORLD

I printed this recipe years ago, but I never had the need for the sauce until recently. Boy, am I glad I did! I’ve taken it to two parties and had many people ask me for the recipe. They’re surprised at how easy it is. The leek soup mixture is the key ingredient, and it tastes much better than the vegetable (IMHO). I used a full 10 oz. package of spinach (you need it for texture), and doubled the recipe. It works best if you squeeze as much liquid out of the spinach as you can. Otherwise, it might be too liquid. Overall, it’s quick, easy, delicious, and will become a staple of my entertainment!

Ingredients:

8 ounces of cream cheese, softened
2 cups of sour cream (used light)
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 slices of bacon, cooked and shredded
1/2 cup sliced green onions

Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 400 F.
Combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, cheddar cheese, bacon and green onion. Spoon mixture into a quart baking dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cheese is bubbling and warm.
Serve with slices of bread, crackers or vegetables.
