Whip Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 box (approximately 15.25 oz) cake mix (lemon, chocolate, or strawberry flavors work well)
  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat to prevent sticking.

2. Mix the Dough: In a sizable bowl, blend the cake mix, Cool Whip, and egg until thoroughly combined. Expect a sticky dough, which is normal.

3. Shape the Cookies: Using teaspoons, scoop portions of the dough into a bowl of powdered sugar. Roll them gently to coat and form into balls. Arrange the sugar-coated dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring about 2 inches of space between each.

4. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges set and the tops develop slight cracks. Take care not to overbake, preserving the cookies’ soft, fluffy texture.

5. Cool: Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
