36 Hershey Candy Cane Kisses
1/2 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1 cup of sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon of salt
2 tablespoons of milk
extra sugar to roll up the dough
Preheat your oven to 350°F.
Remove all kiss wrappers and set them aside.
Using a hand or foot blender, spread the butter at room temperature and the sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended. In another bowl, beat the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the flour mixture, alternately with the milk, to the butter mixture, mixing until well blended.
Line a cookie sheet with a silicone mat or parchment paper. Form the cookie dough into 1-inch balls and then roll the balls in the extra sugar. Place the balls on the cookie sheet.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly browned. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool for 3 minutes. Press a candy kiss into the center of the cookies. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack.
