French Toast Bake

Last weekend I made a French toast for the bridal shower lunch. I love this recipe because it’s so easy (Fia could make it herself), inexpensive (the most expensive ingredient was the $2 Texas Toast), and oh so delicious! The best part is that it’s made the day before, so there’s no problem the day you eat it….perfect for a Sunday afternoon or brunch. This food post will be step by step as I take you through the whole recipe with me… as I like to make my own tweeks and people get angry at me for not telling them EXACTLY what I did.

Ingredient Checklist

1/2 cup melted butter (1 stick)
1 cup of brown sugar
1 Texas toast
4 eggs
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla

  2. 2. Pour the butter and sugar mixture into the bottom of a 9 x 13 tray…. spread around
  3. Beat the eggs, milk and vanilla
  4. Put a single layer of Texas Toast in the pan
  5. Spoon 1/2 of the egg mixture into the bread layer
  6. Add the second layer of Texas Toast
