Barbecue Ribs in the Oven

The ribs in the oven are easy to make and come out perfectly tender every time.

Ingredients

Ribs
3 pounds of baby back ribs 2 slabs
2 sliced onions
4 cloves of garlic, sliced

Rubbing ribs
1 tablespoon of paprika
1 tablespoon of brown sugar
¾ teaspoon garlic powder
¾ teaspoon onion powder
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon lemon pepper
½ teaspoon salt or to taste

BBQ rib sauce
¼ ketchup cup
½ cup of chili sauce
½ cup of your favorite BBQ sauce

Instructions

Preheat oven to 275°F. Mix the Rib Rub ingredients.
Remove the white membrane from the back of the ribs (the side with the least amount of meat). It should come off easily. Rinse ribs under cold water and dry with paper towels.
Massage the ribs by rubbing. Place the ribs in a tray lined with aluminum foil and cover with sliced onion and garlic. Cover and seal with another piece of aluminum foil
Bake ribs for 2 hours. Carefully open the corner of the sealed foil and make sure it is tender. If not, bake another 20 minutes and check again.
Meanwhile, combine the ingredients for the ribs BBQ sauce.
Remove the ribs and discard the juices, onions and garlic. Brush ribs with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper or brush generously with the BBQ sauce.
Grill or broil over medium-high heat for 5-10 minutes.
