BOURBON PECAN BLONDIES

The brown butter, bourbon, nut and chocolate chunks are chewy, crunchy and full of sticky chocolate pockets. The bourbon gives them a subtle kick without being overpowering! This easy and enjoyable dessert recipe is perfect for parties! And don’t worry about the bourbon making you feel dizzy… it’s only a small amount and it cooks during the baking process.

Ingredients

4 ounces of unsalted butter, melted until golden.
1 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
2 and 1/2 tablespoons of bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg plus one egg yolk, at room temperature
1 cup of all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 cup of toasted nuts, roughly chopped
6 ounces of semi-sweet chocolate, cut into pieces
Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling, optional
