CHOCOLATE BAILEYS POKE CAKE

Get your friends and family together for a St. Patrick’s Day celebration with this Baileys Poke Cake. This chocolate cake has a delicious surprise soaked in the cake that has this cake on top. With the flavors of St. Patrick’s Day, this cake is perfect for any party.

INGREDIENTS

Cake ingredients
1 box of chocolate cake mix
egg per carton instructions
oil per box instructions
water instructions per box

Filling ingredients
1 14-oz. sweetened condensed milk
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup of dark cocoa powder
1/4 cup of Baileys

Ingredients of the glaze
1 cup of butter at room temperature
5 cups of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of Baileys
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of salt

INSTRUCTIONS

Cake Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350
Spray a 9×13 baking sheet with non-stick baking spray.
Prepare chocolate cake mix according to package instructions.
Pour cake batter into prepared pan.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Cool to room temperature
Make holes all over the cake.

Filling instructions:
In a medium bowl, add the sweetened condensed milk, cream, cocoa…
powder, and Baileys.
Mix to combine with a whisk.
Pour Baileys filling over holes in mixer and spread evenly.
Refrigerate for 1 or 2 hours.

Instructions for glazing:
In a large bowl of a stand mixer, add butter, powdered sugar,
Baileys, cocoa powder, vanilla and salt.
Mix until smooth and fluffy.
Spread the icing on the cake.
