Chocolate cake! The classic pound cake with the added bonus of chocolate chips.
1 3/4 cups flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 egg yolks
1 TBSP vanilla
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Grease a 9-inch bread pan.
In a bowl, beat the flour and salt. Set aside.
In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar until fluffy. About 5 minutes.
Slowly add the eggs, yolks and vanilla. Beat until fluffy. About another 3 minutes.
Gradually add the flour. Beat over low heat, just until well blended.
Add the chocolate chips.
Spread the dough in the prepared pan and bake for 60 minutes or until the inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Allow the cake to cool for 20-30 minutes before removing it from the mould.
