With Christmas comes a crazy amount of food and desserts. Most of us have recipes that have been in our families for a while and we use them every Christmas. Well, how about adding another one. This Monster Christmas Cookie recipe is a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for the holidays.
INGREDIENTS
¾ cup softened butter
½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup of peanut butter
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 box of yellow cake mix
2 small cups of oatmeal
½ cup of Christmas M&M’s
½ cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon of Christmas powder

INSTRUCTIONS
Heat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.
In a large bowl or in a stand mixer with a paddle, spread the butter, sugar and peanut butter until light and fluffy.
Beat the egg and vanilla until completely combined.
Add the cake mix and oatmeal and stir until combined, then add the M&Ms, chocolate chips and sprinkles.
Using a medium size cookie cutter, drop dumplings 2 inches apart into prepared baking dish. You can roll the balls between the palms of your hands for a more finished edge.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
Cool for 5 minutes on the cookie sheet before transferring to a cooling rack to cool completely.
