2 cups unbleached Gold Medal All Purpose Flour (bleached flour hardens baked goods)
1 ½ cups brown sugar, packed
½ cup white sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
2 large eggs
¼ tsp salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
½ cup of banana, mashed with a fork (about a medium to large banana)
10 oz Hershey’s semi-sweet chocolate (or 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips)
¼ Nestlé chocolate chips for the summit
How to do it :
Mix butter, eggs, sugar, salt and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth.
Add flour, crushed banana and baking powder (or chocolate chips).
Stir with a wooden spoon to mix.
Spray a 9×13″ glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread brownie mixture in prepared pan.
Smooth the top with a knife or rubber spatula.
Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes until lightly browned and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
