These cinnamon-fried apples will melt in your mouth! Softened apples in a mixture of butter, sugar and cinnamon. A delicious side dish or dessert recipe.
Ingredients
4 cups of chopped apples
1 lemon (for the juice of sliced apples)
¼ cup of packed brown sugar
¼ cup of white sugar
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tablespoon cinnamon
Instructions
Peel and core apples.
Squeeze them with lemon to prevent browning.
Chop them into bite-sized pieces.
In a pan with high sides, add sugar, butter and cinnamon.
Cook over medium-low heat for about 2 minutes, stirring frequently until melted.
Add apples.
Continue to stir and cook for about 12-14 minutes, until soft. The exact time will depend on the size of the apple pieces.
Serve hot.
