Grilled Cheese Roll-Ups

Grilled cheese is a classic and these grilled cheese rolls are a fun twist on a classic sandwich! My daughter loved them, and they were perfect for dipping in her tomato soup! This recipe is very simple and is perfect for a quick lunch or snack!

You can use slices of cheese or real shredded cheddar in these, I’ve tried both. Real cheddar stays better in the rolls, but they both taste amazing.

The first time I tried them, I tried to bake them because I thought it would be easy to make many… but it didn’t work. The cheese melts too much and the bread doesn’t crunch enough. A frying pan is the way to go with these!

Ingredients

8 slices of bread crust removed
8 slices of cheese or 1 cup+.

Instructions

Using a rolling pin, roll the slices of bread flat.
Place one slice of cheese (or 2-3 tablespoons of grated cheese). Roll up the bread and cheese (secure with a toothpick if desired).
Brush the outside with melted butter (or you can quickly roll them in the butter) and place them in a pan over medium heat.
Turn with tongs until all sides are golden and the cheese is melted.
