Sweet and salty and everything in between, our Halloween Puppy Chow Chex Mix (aka Muddy Buddies) is one of our favorite Halloween treats.
Ingredients
6 cups of Chex rice cereal
1 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
½ cup creamy peanut butter
2 tablespoons of unsalted butter
2 cups of powdered sugar
½ Reeses’ Mini Peanut Butter Cup
½ cup M&M’s or other orange and dark chocolate candies
½ candy eye cup
½ candy corn cup
Instructions
Place the cereals in a large mxing bowl.
In a small microwave bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter.
Heat for 1 minute, and stir to combine until completely melted.
Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and stir to coat completely.
In a large resealable bag, add the powdered sugar and cereal mixture.
Seal the bag and stir to cover completely. Remove from bag and pour into large bowl.
Add the cup of peanut butter, orange and black M&M’s, caramel eyes and caramel corn to the bowl and stir to combine.
Store in an airtight container.
