HOMEMADE BUTTERFINGERS (3-INGREDIENTS)

Homemade butter fingers – only 3 ingredients! Sweet corn, peanut butter and chocolate. You’ll be impressed with these homemade candies! They taste just like the real thing! #Butterfingers, caramel, caramel recipe, dessert…

Ingredients:

1 pound of sweet corn
1 jar of peanut butter (16 ounces)
1 (16-oz) packet of chocolate candy coating

Instructions:

Melt the sweet corn in the microwave on high for 1 minute. Stir and continue cooking at 15 second intervals until melted, stirring after each interval.
Add peanut butter. Spread the mixture in an 8×8 parchment lined mold. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
Melt the caramel layer according to the instructions on the package.
Dip the cut candy bars in the melted chocolate coating. Place them on waxed paper to fix them.

Notes:

I used Peter Pan’s honey-roasted peanut butter. Any brand will work fine.
I have not done this with natural peanut butter, so I cannot say how it would work.
You can use soft or crunchy peanut butter. I always use the soft one.
I used a layer of chocolate to wet the candy bars. Feel free to substitute the real chocolate. I use the caramel coating because it melts better.
You can cut the candy into as many bars as you like.
