Lemon and Condensed Milk Pudding

A 5 minute homemade dessert that I can never get enough of! No cooking required

This dessert combines the freshness of lemon with the creamy sweetness of condensed milk, thickened with cornstarch and enriched with egg yolks for a silky texture. The use of both lemon zest and juice gives it a vibrant citrus flavor, while the vanilla sugar adds a hint of vanilla aroma. The optional decorations of cinnamon, cocoa powder, or chocolate chips can add a contrasting flavor and texture, making it not only a quick and easy dessert but also versatile in its presentation.

Ingredients:

400 ml milk
Zest of a lemon
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
2 egg yolks
40 g sugar
15 g cornstarch
Juice of a lemon
100 g condensed milk
Optional for decoration: cinnamon, cocoa powder or chocolate chips

Instructions:

Start by mixing milk, lemon zest and vanilla sugar in a bowl. Heat this mixture until just before boiling.In another bowl, mix egg yolks, sugar and cornstarch until smooth.
Gradually add the hot milk mixture to the egg yolk mixture, stirring constantly so that the eggs do not mix.
Once the mixture is well integrated, allow it to cool completely.
Once cooled, add the juice of one lemon and the condensed milk.
