In general, we make huge batches of meatballs a couple of times a year and then vacuum seal them in bags of 12-24 meatballs. They are very useful for preparing meatball casseroles, like this one, adding them to pasta dishes or skewering them with vegetables and roasting them for a quick meal of the week.

You will need:

1 frozen meatball recipe or 1 (2-3lb bag of frozen meatballs)
Spaghetti sauce, 1 bottle
1 cup mozzarella cheese, grated
1 cup Italian blend cheese, grated
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 loaf of fresh Italian bread, cut into slices
Garlic butter
1/2 bar of butter, room temperature
1 tablespoon of chopped garlic
1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning

Instruction

Mix garlic, Italian seasoning, 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese and butter and spread them on the bread slices on one side only.
Arrange the bread standing on the edges of a 9×13 baking tray.

In a saucepan heat the meatballs and sauce until they are completely heated, then pour the meatballs/sauce in the center, add a layer of cheese, more meatballs, and then the remaining cheese.
The bread should be standing up to get crispy.
Place in oven and bake for approximately 20 minutes at 375°F or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from oven, serve and enjoy!
