Learn how to make easy banana bread! This banana bread recipe is moist, soft and super rich in flavor. All you need is one bowl, few basic ingredients and 5 minutes of work.
INGREDIENTS
- 3 Ripe bananas
- 1/2 cup (100g) White sugar
- 1/4 cup (50g) Brown sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (115g) Melted butter
- 2 cups (250g) Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon (optional)
- 1/2 cup (80g) Chocolate chips (optional) *or nuts of choice
- 1 Banana for topping (optional)
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4×8-inch loaf pan line with parchment paper and grease with butter the paper as well. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl place 3 bananas and mash with a fork until smooth as possible. Add both sugars and mix until combined. Add eggs, vanilla extract and mix until combined. Add melted butter and mix until combined.
- Sift in flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and cinnamon. Stir until incorporated, do not over mix.
- Add chocolate chip (note: at this stage you can also add chopped nuts of your choice) and mix.
- Pour the batter into prepared pan. Slice one banana in half longwise and put it on top of the batter, cut side up.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
- Allow to cool for 5-10 minutes, release from the pa and allow to cool completely.
