Try making your own flea killer with 1/2 cup of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon of essential orange oil. Combine the oil and baking soda into a jar. Shake well to combine the mixture, sprinkle it on your pet, and rub the powder mixture into their skin.
2. Amp up shampoo power
Keep the pesky biters away from your furry friend by using 1/2 cup of dog shampoo mixed with 1/2 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 2 cups of water. Spray your pet with this mixture once a week, Fleabites says.
