Polish sausage, Sauerkraut and potatoes ( CROCKPOT )

Sausage and potato sauerkraut is an easy dish to make for your family and friends. It makes a lot, so serve it at any gathering.
We love this easy crock pot recipe! Sauerkraut and potatoes seem to go together. Add some Polish sausage and you have a meal in a pot! This is a real comfort food and my family is all comfort food. We love easy food recipes and this is definitely a good idea. You can cut this recipe in half or duplicate it for a group of people. This dish is even better the next day after being refrigerated overnight.

Ingredients

2 (14-ounce) cans of sauerkraut, undrained (or 1 2-pound bag)
5 or 6 potatoes, peeled and cut into large pieces
1 cup of water
1 pound of Polish sausage, cut into pieces (you could use smoked sausage)
1 teaspoon caraway seeds
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon of pepper

Instructions:

Place the sauerkraut and potatoes in the slow cooker, add the spices and water.
Place the sausage on top.
Cook 4 hours over high heat or about 6 hours over low heat or until potatoes are tender.
