7 Layer Salad is a delicious salad recipe that is easy to prepare, with fresh vegetables and lettuce covered with a delicious creamy dressing. Better yet, this recipe is meant to be prepared in advance, making it the perfect meal!
In this simple seven-layer salad, we often add leftover chicken or turkey to complete the meal and use a tasty ranch dressing.
Ingredients
▢8 iceberg or romaine lettuce cups
▢1 ½ cups of frozen thawed peas
▢1 red or yellow bell pepper in cubes
▢½ cups of cherry tomatoes cut in half
▢3 green cut onions
Ranch dressing
▢1 ¼ cup of mayonnaise
▢¼ cup of sour cream
▢½ teaspoon garlic powder
▢½ teaspoon of onion powder
▢1 tablespoon of fresh parsley
▢1 tablespoon of fresh dill
▢2 teaspoons of sugar
▢salt and pepper to taste
Toppings
▢6 cooked and shredded bacon slices
▢2 cups of cheddar cheese
Instructions
Place the lettuce on a 9×13 plate. Layer the remaining vegetables.
Combine the dressing ingredients and spread them on the lettuce. Cover with cheese and bacon.
Cover and refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) before serving.

To make this a meal, add 2 cups of leftover ham, turkey or chicken.
