This recipe for Sticky Chicken Sticks bridges the gap between the economic and the familiar. It’s SO easy to make with just a handful of ingredients that it drowns chicken thighs in a barbecue glaze.
3 pounds of chicken sticks
1 cup of barbecue sauce
¼ cup of honey or sugar from the shell
3 cloves of garlic, minced
1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard
Preheat the oven to 400°F.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl.
Brush chicken with sauce and place in a parchment-lined skillet. Bake for 20 minutes.
Brush with more sauce, turn chicken over to coat well and bake 20-25 minutes more or until chicken reaches 165°F and sauce is sticky.
Optional, transfer to a foil-lined pan and roast over low heat 2-3 minutes to brown the skin.
Garnish with green onions if desired.
