Taco Pizza is what I like most, plain and simple. It is made completely of flavors that I love and it takes only a few minutes to get into the oven. With the filling of seasoned refried beans and meat, it has twice as much filling as a regular pizza, so just one is all we need for dinner. For the picky eaters, you can simply leave the fillings and let everyone customize their own. This recipe is a win-win for everyone!
16-ounce can of refried beans
1 package of taco seasoning or 2 tablespoons
1 pound of golden ground beef, well drained.
1-2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
about 2 cups of tortilla chips
3/4 cup of sauce
1 prepared pizza crust, preferably a deep dish
In a skillet or casserole, combine cooked ground beef, taco seasoning, refried beans and salsa over medium-high heat. Stir until hot and bubbly. Spread on the crust of the pizza.
Cover with crunchy taco pieces and all the cheese you want. Bake at 350 until the cheese melts and the crust is golden.
Remove from oven. Cover with your favorite tacos and enjoy.
