Yorkshire pudding

Yorkshire pudding is a classic British dish that has been around for centuries. It is a savory side dish made from a batter of eggs, flour, and milk that is baked in a hot oven. The result is a light and fluffy pudding that is perfect for serving alongside a roast dinner. Yorkshire pudding is a great way to add a bit of extra flavor to a meal and is sure to be a hit with the whole family.

I remember my grandmother making Yorkshire pudding when I was a child. She would always make it with love and care, and it was always a hit at the dinner table. I still make Yorkshire pudding today and it always brings back fond memories of my grandmother. If you’ve never tried Yorkshire pudding before, now is the perfect time to give it a go.

Ingredients:

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
3 large eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
Vegetable oil or beef drippings (for muffin cups)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Preheat a 12-cup muffin tin in the oven.

Whisk flour, milk, eggs, and salt in a bowl until smooth.

Remove the muffin tin. Add oil or beef drippings to each cup (~1/4 inch deep). Return to oven for 5 minutes until sizzling.

Pour batter into the hot muffin cups, filling half.

Bake 20-25 minutes until golden brown, ensuring the oven door remains closed.

Serve immediately.
