Air Fryer Apple Pie Bombs

Air fried apple pie pumps are cookies filled with apple pie filling, baked in an air fryer until golden brown, and covered with a layer of sugar and apple pie spices.

INGREDIENTS

¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar
3 teaspoons of apple pie spices
1 can (8 beads) Pillsbury Grand cookies
1 cup apple pie filling, with apples cut into small pieces
1 teaspoon cinnamon
½ cup (1 stick or 113g) butter, melted

INSTRUCTIONS

In a medium sized bowl, mix sugar and apple pie seasoning. Set aside.
Remove the cookies from the can and use your hand to peel and separate each one into two layers. Using a rolling pin, roll each layer of cookies into a 4-inch circle. (You will have 16 circles).
In a small bowl, combine the apple pie filling with cinnamon. Mix to match.
Place one tablespoon of the apple pie filling and the cinnamon mixture in the center of each circle.
Use fingers to bring sides together and pinch to seal. Roll into balls.
Spray basket of an air fryer with non-stick cooking spray.
Working in batches, place balls in an air fryer basket about 2 inches apart. Spray the top with cooking spray.
Fry outdoors at 350°F for 8-9 minutes, or until golden brown.
Carefully remove the balls from the fryer, dipping them into melted butter.
Roll up each apple pie pump dipped in the apple pie’s spice and sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining batches.
Serve immediately or at room temperature.
