Apple Butter Cake

Apple Butter Cake is a two-layer cake flavoured with apple butter and homemade apple pie spices and topped with apple cider icing for an apple flavour in every bite.

INGREDIENTS

CAKE
1 cup (2 sticks or 227 g) butter, melted
1 cup (245g) milk
½ cup apple butter
1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
1 cup (200g) brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon apple pie spices

FROSTING
½ cup (1 stick or 113 g) butter, softened at room temperature
4 cups (500g) powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ cup of apple cider
