White Cheddar Pasta with Bacon is a simple and delicious dish for any night of the week. Plentiful enough as a main dish or as a perfect accompaniment to any meal. Loaded with flavor, it will be a hit with any macaroni and cheese lover.
8 slices of Petit Jean Hickory Smoked, cooked and shredded bacon
1 pound of pasta
2 tablespoons of butter
2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 cups of whole milk
8 oz of cream cheese
3 cups grated spicy white cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon of granulated garlic
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
2 teaspoons fresh rosemary, finely chopped.
Boil the pasta until it is al dente and drain it.
Add the butter to a saucepan and place it on medium-high heat.
When the butter melts, add the flour and salt and beat, cooking for about 2 minutes.
Add the milk and beat until mixed. Add the cream cheese and continue beating until it is soft.
Add the cheddar cheese and beat until it melts.
Add garlic, paprika and freshly ground pepper.
Continue cooking until the sauce thickens and is smooth.
Add the drained pasta and cook for 5 minutes over low heat.
Cover with crumbled bacon and fresh rosemary.
