Caramel Apple Bark

Here is my new favorite fall dessert to make that is literally SO easy to make! I call it caramelized apple crust. You have the crunch of fresh apples, the crunch and savour of pretzels and the sweetness of caramel. Perfection.

Ingredients

12 ounce bag of Milk Chocolate Chips
1 green apple
35 Individually wrapped candies or 13.5 ounces of caramel sauce
16 ounce bag of Pretzels

Instructions

Melt 1 ¾ cups of chocolate chips in the microwave and stir every 15 seconds until smooth.
Pour the melted chocolate onto parchment paper and use a rubber spatula to spread it out in a rectangle.
Layers of pretzels over the chocolate until covered.
Cut the green apple into cubes and spread it with a paper towel to remove as much moisture as possible to prevent the caramel from melting.
Unwrap the candies and put them in the microwave in intervals of 15 seconds. Stir until melted. Mix the apples with the caramel and spread it over the pretzels.
Move it to the refrigerator and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Remove from the refrigerator and melt the remaining chocolate and sprinkle it on top.
Return to the fridge for one hour, then take it out and cut the crust into bite-sized pieces.
Leave the crust in the fridge until you are ready to serve it.

Notes

Serve it on the day otherwise, the pretzels may soften and the apples will have too much moisture.
