INGREDIENTS
- ½ cup whole milk, heated to 110°F (just hot to touch)
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- 1½ tablespoons yeast
- 5 eggs at room temperature
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, cut into 16 tablespoon-sized pieces, softened
- 1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
EGG WASH
- 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk
- pinch salt
