Christmas Red Velvet Poke Cake

Red velvet Christmas cake, very tasty, rich and moist. So easy to make, you only need a few ingredients. Red velvet Christmas cake – a taste of Christmas in every bite of this delicious cake!

INGREDIENTS

For the cake:
1 box of red velvet cake mix (ingredients needed to make the cake – eggs, oil and water)

For the filling:
2 3.4 oz boxes of instant vanilla pudding mix
4 cup of milk
2 cup heavy whipped cream
Green food coloring

To decorate:
Sprinkled with red, optional.
Sprinkled with green, optional.
Snowflakes and white chocolate curls, optional

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 9×13 inch skillet and sprinkle with flour.
Prepare the cake mix according to the instructions on the box.
Pour into a prepared baking dish and bake until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
Remove the cake from the oven
Using the back of a wooden spoon, poke holes in the entire cake.
Mix the milk with the pudding mixture and beat until well mixed.
Pour the pudding over the cake making sure it goes into the holes.
Refrigerate the cake for several hours to allow the pudding to settle and settle
To make the green coating, mix the heavy cream until smooth peaks form, add the green colorant (add a few drops at a time, to the desired color) and mix to combine
Spread the green topping evenly over the top of the cake and sprinkle with white and red chocolate curls, sprinkle with green and snowflakes.
Refrigerate until ready to serve
