Macaroni with Crab and Cheese is a pasta dish with ‘crabtivador’ cheese (understand?) that is easy to make and take to the table. Serve it with roasted garlic asparagus and homemade buttermilk cookies for a hearty and comforting meal.

8 ounces Cavatappi noodles, cooked according to package directions
1 cup white cheddar cheese, finely shredded
1 cup Jarlsberg cheese, finely shredded
1 cup Parmesan cheese, finely grated
2 1/2 cups of heavy cream
1 medium garlic clove, finely chopped
8 ounces of crab meat
1 tablespoon of dried chives

Mix the white cheddar, Jarlsberg and Parmesan cheeses until well combined. Set aside 1 cup of cheese mixture for topping.
Preheat the roaster over low heat with the oven rack near the top of the oven.
In a large skillet, over medium-high heat, bring heavy cream to a boil.
Reduce heat to low. Add garlic and simmer, stirring often (about 2 minutes).
Add the cooked pasta and return to a boil over medium heat. Cook and stir for one minute. Remove from heat.
Add the cheese mixture and stir until the cheese has melted.
Gently add the crab and a spoonful of chives. Season with salt, if necessary.
Cover with the cheese mixture you had reserved. Grill for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is golden.
Let it rest for 5-10 minutes, and add the rest of the chives to garnish.
