You’ll love the orange cream and cake cookies, and they’re very easy to make at any time. These soft cookies filled with orange flavor and white chocolate chips are absolutely delicious.
1/2 cup softened butter
8 ounces of softened cream cheese
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1 box of orange cake mix
orange food coloring (or 1 part red to 2 parts yellow) optional
1 cup white chocolate chips
1 cup of powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 350F. Line the cookie sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, beat the butter, orange extract, cream cheese and egg with an electric mixer until smooth. Add the cake mix and mix well.
Optional: Add orange food coloring if desired until the cookie dough reaches the desired orange color.
Stir white chocolate chips into cookie dough. Chill dough in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Form dough into 24 balls. Roll each one in the powdered sugar and then place them on the parchment lined cookie sheets.
Bake the cookies at 350F for 12-13 minutes. Cool on the cookie sheet for 2-3 minutes, then remove from the mold and finish cooling on a wire cooling rack.
