If the dogs realize their mom is getting ready to give them a bath, they’ll plant themselves firmly on a bed or couch and absolutely refuse to move. Sometimes, though, they realize too late and end up trapped in the bathroom as their mom runs the water, and when that happens, they have to come up with more creative ways to hide.
One day, both dogs were locked in the bathroom with Mom as she readied their bath. When she was finally ready for them to get into the tub, she turned around — and discovered them both hiding in the funniest spot.
“When I turned around to tell one of them to get in the tub, this is what I saw (both of them hiding behind the robes),” Milke said. “I quickly grabbed my phone and started recording and couldn’t stop laughing. When I removed the robes they had the ‘Oh crap’ look in their eyes.”
While Milke had to give the dogs points for their creativity, it didn’t work, and of course they ended up having to bathe anyway. Despite the fact that they never succeed, Sullivan and Sampson still try to hide from every bath, even if it’s just behind each other.
“Typically it’s Sullivan hiding behind Sampson and it takes much coaxing to get Sullivan in the tub,” Milke said. “Sampson has taken the stance that Sullivan has to go first and then he will reluctantly get in the tub.”Volume 0%
Once they’re in the tub, the baths go pretty smoothly, but that still doesn’t stop them from being just as opposed to the next bath. It’s OK, though, because their bath time hiding adventures are hysterical and adorable, and always provide some much-needed entertainment and laughs for the whole family.
