GINGERBREAD KISS COOKIES

Gingerbread cookies combine your favorite chewy cookies with chocolate striped kisses for a fun twist on a classic. Make these delicious cookies and add them to your holiday cookie exchange this year.

INGREDIENTS

3/4 C unsalted sweet cream butter softened
3/4 C light brown sugar packed
1/2 C of molasses
1 large egg
Flour 3 C
2 teaspoons of ground ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon of all spices
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 container of white sanding sugar
1 bag of Hersey Kisses striped chocolate

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, mix the flour, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, baking soda and salt.
Using another bowl or a stand mixer, beat the brown sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Mix molasses, egg and vanilla extract.
Now, add the dry ingredients gradually until the dough is formed.
Pour the icing sugar into a bowl, and form small balls of cookie dough, then dip them into the icing sugar.
Place the balls of cookie dough on the prepared baking sheets, then bake for 8-10 minutes.
Remove them from the oven and let them cool for 2-3 minutes before adding a Hershey’s kiss in the center.
Let them cool completely before serving.
