Frozen mint and chocolate dessert: a layer of Oreo, mint and chocolate filling, all covered with Oreo crumbs make this dessert incredible. This refreshing frozen mint dessert is very easy to prepare. All you need to make this delicious dessert is a couple of simple ingredients and some free time.
32 Oreo Cookies
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
8 ounces of cream cheese
1 tablespoon of powdered sugar
1 cup of heavy whipped cream
1 teaspoon of mint extract
5-6 drops of green food coloring
1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
If you want to prepare the Oreo coating and covering, start by spraying an 8 x 8 inch or 9 x 9 inch square pan with a non-stick spray and then set it aside.
Then, put the Oreo cookies in the food processor and press until you get crumbs. Use a medium plate, to combine the Oreo crumbs and melted butter, then press half of the mixture into the bottom of an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9 inch square pan. Save the rest of the crumbs for later.
Meanwhile, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then add the heavy whipped cream, mint extract and green food coloring and beat some more, until stiff peaks form.
Add the sweetened condensed milk and continue beating until well combined and then add the chocolate chips.
Spread the mixture over the Oreo layer and sprinkle with the rest of the Oreo crumbs.
This dessert should be stored in the freezer for at least 6 hours and removed 20 minutes before serving.
